Enquiries & leads
Keep every customer enquiry moving.
A missed call, a message through your public profile, or a walk-in enquiry becomes a lead the moment it happens, with the customer's details and what they asked about attached, so it stays visible until someone follows up.

Customer interest shouldn't disappear
You're usually busy serving the customer in front of you.
That's the job. It also means a new customer can reach out while you have no way to answer right away. Chakusa's job is to make sure that moment is still there when you do.
A customer calls while you're already with someone else. The call ends, and with it goes the only record that they were interested at all.
A customer asks about a service through your public profile after hours. By the time you're back at your phone, it's easy to forget who reached out.
A quote request comes in mid-job. It's not urgent enough to stop for, but it still needs an answer before the customer looks elsewhere.
Capture the opportunity
How an enquiry becomes a lead you can act on.
A message sent through your public Chakusa business profile becomes a lead automatically. On Android, a missed call can too, once you turn on the Recovery Engine permission. Every other channel, a walk-in, a WhatsApp message, a referral, is added as a lead in a few taps.
- Customer interestA call, a public profile message, or a walk-in enquiry.
- Lead recordCustomer details and the service requested attached.
- ContextUrgency, timing, and estimated value, where known.
- Attention stateStays marked New until someone follows up.
- Next actionPrepare a message or update the status.
Chakusa doesn't claim to capture every phone call or message on every platform automatically. iOS has no way for any app to read a missed-call log, and channels outside your public profile and Android's Recovery Engine are added by hand, deliberately, not silently assumed.
Know what needs attention
The owner shouldn't have to remember every unfinished conversation.
Any lead still marked New is a customer who hasn't heard back yet. It stays visible in your attention view until you contact them, so a busy day doesn't quietly become a missed opportunity.
- Needs-attention view
- New, oldest first
- Stays visible until acted on
- One place, not five tools
Next: See exactly what's known about the customer before you respond.
Understand the lead
Everything you need before you call back.
Service requested, urgency, when the call came in, estimated value, and, if this person has contacted the business before, their full history. No guessing what they wanted.
- Service and urgency
- Missed-call time
- Estimated value
- Linked customer history
Next: Prepare a response without starting from a blank screen.
Prepare the next response
Chakusa prepares the message. You decide when it goes.
Prepare message fills in your own saved template, or an industry default if you haven't set one, with the customer's name, your business name, and the service they asked about. Nothing sends until you choose Copy, Open SMS, or Open WhatsApp.
- Your own templates
- Filled in automatically
- Copy, SMS, or WhatsApp
- You always send it
Next: A response moves the lead forward, one status at a time.
Move the lead forward
Leads aren't an undifferentiated inbox.
Every lead sits in exactly one stage, and moving it forward is always a deliberate tap, never automatic.
- New
An enquiry just arrived and hasn't been followed up yet.
- Contacted
The business has reached out and is waiting to hear back.
- Booked
The enquiry has a confirmed appointment attached.
- Won
The visit happened. Payment can be tracked from here.
- Lost
This enquiry didn't convert. It stays on record, not deleted.
Missed calls
A missed call doesn't have to mean a missed customer.
You might be serving one customer when another one calls. Chakusa turns that missed call into a visible lead, with the time it came in attached, so it's still there to follow up on, not just a notification that disappeared from your screen.
On Android, this happens on its own once you turn on the Recovery Engine permission, using only the phone number and time of the call, never call recordings or your address book. Every follow-up after that, preparing a message, marking it contacted, is still something you choose to do.
Chakusa doesn't promise a missed call becomes revenue. It promises the call doesn't just disappear.
Where the enquiry goes next
A lead isn't the end of the story.
From enquiry to booking
Marking a lead Won doesn't create the appointment by itself. Once you've responded, the same customer record carries over into scheduling, services, and the calendar, so booking the visit is the next natural step, not a separate system to re-enter details into.
See how booking worksFrom lead to customer relationship
Once a lead is linked to a customer, it's not filed away. Every lead, message, review, reminder, and payment for that person collects on one profile, so the next conversation, whether it's a follow-up or a booking two years later, starts with context.
See the customer profileBuilt for real service businesses
The same moment, across different trades.
A missed enquiry looks the same whether you cut hair, fix cars, or clean homes.
A customer calls mid-cut. Chakusa keeps the missed call as a lead so it isn't just gone by closing time.
A client asks about a colour appointment while the front desk is with someone else. The enquiry waits as a lead, not a missed message.
A treatment enquiry comes in between patients. It sits ready for the front desk to follow up between appointments.
A repair enquiry arrives while the workshop is mid-job. It's still there, with the requested service attached, once there's a moment to call back.
A quote request comes in during a job. It's logged as a lead instead of relying on someone remembering to call back later.
A customer asks about treatment availability outside opening hours. The enquiry is waiting, not lost overnight.

Enquiries & leads questions
How lead follow-up actually works.
What counts as a lead in Chakusa?
A missed call, a message through your public Chakusa profile, or any enquiry a team member adds by hand. Each one becomes a lead record with the customer's details and the service they asked about.
How does Chakusa help with missed customer enquiries?
A missed enquiry shows up as a lead that still needs a first response, surfaced in your attention view until you act on it. On Android, a missed call can be added automatically if you turn on the Recovery Engine permission; on iOS, and for any other channel, you add it in a few taps.
Can I see which leads need attention?
Yes. Any lead still marked New is a customer who hasn't heard back yet, and it stays visible until you contact them or mark it as lost.
Can I track a lead from new to booked?
Yes. A lead moves through New, Contacted, Booked, Won, or Lost, and every change is a deliberate tap, never automatic.
Does Chakusa reply to leads automatically?
No. Chakusa can prepare a message for you to review, but nothing sends until you choose Copy, Open SMS, or Open WhatsApp yourself.
Can Chakusa help prepare follow-up messages?
Yes. Prepare message fills in your own saved template, or an industry default if you haven't set one, with the customer's name, your business name, and the service they asked about. You still decide when and how to send it.
Can a lead become a customer record?
Yes. Once a lead is linked to a customer, every message, booking, review, and reminder for that person collects on one profile, so the next conversation isn't starting from nothing.
Can I search my leads?
Yes. You can search by customer name or service, and filter by New, Contacted, Booked, Won, or Lost.
Does Chakusa work for different service businesses?
Yes. Barbers, salons, dentists, mechanics, cleaners, spas, and similar local service businesses all use the same lead workflow, since a missed enquiry looks the same regardless of trade.
